I know this isn't important in the grand scheme of things but still..
I used instagram for a year or so, Followed the people I liked (celebrity wise) and friends in real life, posted maybe a picture per day and that's about it. (Nothing adult at all, mostly scenery pics etc, few selfies etc)
I recently met a celebrity and when I arrived home later that night I saw that he had requested to follow me, I accepted him. Less than an hour later I was logged out of my account with a message saying 'Your account has been disabled for violating our terms. Learn how you might be able to restore your account.'
I literally did nothing wrong.
I did what they said and followed the link to instagram support, they sent an email asking me to take a selfie holding a bit of paper with a code on it that they sent me via email. I heard nothing back so did it again, they then asked for a picture of my passport showing my name and all other areas of it covered up, I did that. Nothing. It's been three months now and all I ever get is the same automated email asking for a selfie which I must have done about 12 times now.
Is there anything else I can do here? Anyone else lost their account through no fault of their own and got it back? I feel like they asked for a lot of personal information and for what if they don't reply or support you?
