I would really like and Apple Watch but can’t afford anything super duper new- tips for which series to get second hand please?

I know nothing about apple watches as far as spec is concerned. Mates with older models are still very happy with them. Can you recommend a series that is good but won’t break the bank?

I know this isn't what you asked, but you can buy an apple watch on a phone-type contract if you can't afford to pay upfront. I did this as I wanted all the features on the series 7.

I have a series 3 I got for under £200, a couple of years, so might be cheaper now. Perfectly adequate.

Have you looked at Vitality health insurance? They’re doing an offer of a series 7 for free if you meet your fitness goals each month

I've got a 3, it works fine now with my iphone 12 - there are a few things it can't do but it can do calls / texts / FMF / weather / heart etc

CEX offer a two year warranty IIRC

I bought a series 5 second hand from Music Magpie on eBay. It was about £170 and in great condition. 12 months' warranty as well.

Mine is sat in the drawer unused since I had my so - happy to sell it think it's a series 4
