Received £140 John Lewis vouchers for Christmas and can't seem to think of anything I want/need.
Looking for inspiration. What would you buy?

We always get JL vouchers, over the years they have been spent on....Earpods, bedding, coffee machine, slow cooker, aftershave, perfume and various other household bits.

I would keep them for a new day dress when the spring summer ranges land - probably a Hush Kensington. I would use the leftover towards new trainers.

Over 15 years ago I was given £40 John Lewis vouchers for my birthday and Xmas from a godparent and I bought two small but lovely touch bedside lights. I was in my late teens at university and it was a lovely gift and I still have them by my bedside to this day. They're plain enough to last but I love the fact they're touch and you can have dimmed lights when you want them. Buy something you need around the house! I agree re an appliance too.

Are you into step counting and fitness? I've bought myself a Fitbit Charge 5 from John Lewis. £150.

Where John Lewis is good is for anything where you might want a warrantee.

So if we had a voucher I think that something along those lines would be my thought.

The last thing we bought from JL was a pizza oven which is seriously over used!

BleuJay · 04/01/2022 19:34

Lingerie.

I had £150 of vouchers and bought this lovely clock. We did need a clock though.

Another vote for lingerie.

Right now though- a bathmat and new pillows. Sexeeee.

I had a JL voucher a few years ago and bought a raclette. Vaguely like a fondue set in that its for social cooking on a table together, but you can grill and don't share the same cheese pot! The one on their website now is different to my electric one and looks much smaller.

  • I'd get bath sheets. Proper, giant ones that actually wrap around your whole body.
  • Dreamland boutique hotel electric blanket
  • A feather/down duvet
  • Start Christmas shopping for this year!
