Hello all knowing Mumsnet! After seeing you all work miracles guessing perfumes and celebrities with the most random clues I was hoping you could help me find a book I used to love as a teenager.

I don't know the title or author although I thought the title was something like "love is waiting in the wings" but I can find nothing via google, all books any variations of that are not right.

So it was set in a theatre, a play being put on. Main characters were mark and Natasha who were the understudies, other main characters were Becky who ends up having a scandalous relationship with marks dad, mark sr. Mark and Natasha fall in love and end up performing in the play together. There are other scenes I remember like them going for a picnic, going on tour with the play etc but I can't remember much else.

Any help will be so appreciated!

No idea I’m afraid but you might want to post this in the books/what we’re reading section, might get more help there 😀

Love Waiting On Wings ?

It is set on the Mull of Kintyre. The main characters, Paul and Linda, turn up at the local Inn one evening as the mists roll in. They order a meal and drinks. The first chapter is how the waitress copes in what is usually a quiet place when members of Paul and Linda's band also turn up at the inn wanting to be fed and watered.

Thanks guys, I thought I would get more replies in the chat section as I know from previous posts under other names the book section and many others just don't get the traffic. I wasn't brave enough for aibu though! I will try there though thank you.
Mag- thanks for trying but literally nothing of that is related to this book :(

Everyone I've spoke to about this has never been able to help at all, I can't be the only person to have read this book.
