Could I be pregnant so soon after IUD removal?

Hi Everyone!

I’m not sure if I’m positing this in the right place, but I’m hoping to shed a bit of light on my situation.

My partner and I both decided we were ready for baby no.2, so I had my copper IUD removed on the 22nd of December which just so happened to be the lead up to my ovulation date. We had unprotected sex on the 25th of December (3 days before my ovulation date) and now I’m feeling lower abdomen cramps, back ache, tender breasts, nausea (with the odd vomiting) & I’m really put off foods.

I had my daughter 3 years ago in 2018 and didn’t pick up on any symptoms until after my missed period then had nausea & leg rashes. I can’t remember what it’s actually like to possibly be pregnant!

I’m due my period in 12 days but I don’t think I can wait that long to test, I’m not even sure if it’s possible to get pregnant quickly after having the IUD removed!

Any advice? Or anyone had somewhat the same experience?

Thank you!
C xx

Its entirely possible to get pregnant that quickly but if you're 12 days away from your period, that'd mean you ovulated 2 days ago. Unless you have a lower LP. If not the case, then very highly unlikely to get symptoms at this stage..

If you ovulated 28th of December, your period is due the 11th of January, with a 14 day LP.

@NewPositiveYear thank you for commenting, I really appreciate it! I’m probably just reading into everything into too much detail and stressing over every “symptom”! Will just wait and see :)

Just get a load of sticks and pee on one every morning. You'll either end up with a positive, or a period.

You could be, I got pregnant within two weeks of the end of my depo injection protection. Things happen. I hope it's positive for you.
