Shall I get my ears pierced?!?!

I had them done when I was 8 years old but let them close up mid teens as I developed a large keloid on the back of my ear which I had to have surgically removed.

But now 40 years on, I reallllly want them done again! Shall I risk it?!?!?!

Yes, but go to a professional body piercer so it's done properly, & tell them what happened last time 🙂

I'm 50 and thinking of doing the same!
I've got long hair with a thick fringe and now I'm older I tend to always wear it up in a messy bun or ponytail, I'm thinking big dangly earrings would cheer me up Grin

I've got holes that are long closed up, I'm guessing it's relatively uncomplicated to redo them?

I wouldn’t. Keloids are notorious for reoccurring. Wear clip ons?

I don’t know about keloid scars, but I’ve recently had mine re-pierced after letting them close up and I’m very happy with them. I went to a tattoo studio where they used a needle not a gun - virtually painless.

Interesting about using an professional body piercer - do you think that would make a difference?

To be honest, I'm 50 now, and my reaction to a keloid scar would be fr more "meh" that my 14 year old self!!!!

Yeah of course you should if you want to!
Take all of 5 minutes at a piercers.

Had mine done recently and healed up nicely in about 8 weeks

I would but definitely, go to a professional body piercer.
The needle is better than a gun.
