Audible subscription question

ApricotArcade · 03/01/2022 22:31

I took out my Audible subscription when working from home during lockdown and it kept me company on all those daily walks!

I don't get the chance to use it so much any more and have a backlog of about 10 books.

If I cancel the subscription, what happens? Do I still get to keep the books I've already got?

You keep the books that you've bought forever. You can still log onto your Audible account and listen to them. If you have any unused credits you need to use them before you cancel your account because you will lose those. Once you've cancelled your account still exists, you're just not paying anything or getting credits or access to any of the free stuff. You can reactivate your payments at anytime without needing to open a new account.

You can also suspend your account for a few months if you prefer. The will usually offer this option as you progress through the cancellation screens. They will also sometimes offer a few free credits to stay, I usually accept the free credits, spend them and then cancel anyway.

A month or two after you've cancelled they will send an email with some sort of offer, usually half price for two or three months, to tempt you to sign up again. Keep the email because they will probably still honour the offer six or nine months down the line.

Yes you get to keep all your books.
Just make sure to use any credits because you will lose those.
You can pause your subscription until you catch up if you prefer to do that.

Thank you so much. That's really useful. I've got credits left, so will go through those Thanks

Thank you for posting this, I need to cancel mine too (but use the credits first!)
