What toys from your childhood would you love to see again?

I'm a 90s baby and have recently been reminded of my old Polly Pocket collection. I've kept a fair few of my childhood toys (Sylvanian families and various Playmobile sets) for my future children, but am thinking of starting to collect vintage Polly Pocket sets just for nostalgia!

If you could have/collect any of your childhood toys, what would you wish to have most?

I had the treehouse and the mini post office. I especially loved the treehouse. All the little people are still kicking about my parents’ house, 40 years later. I would have loved Peaches and Cream Barbie. I did have Crystal Barbie - iridescent stole, transparent glittery stilettos!

I wish I still had the mini Polly Pockets, especially the rings. I don’t think they’re that small anymore?

I had Crystal Barbie too... insisted on taking her to my GPs house that afternoon (Xmas present) and lost her shoes somewhere en route! Still remember how gutted I was

I lost her necklace early on!

Fluppy dogs

The ‘Oh Penny’ house and swimming pool. Still regularly sing the theme tune to myself!

I didnt have many toys growing up but do remember this shoe house/school and played a lot with it. It was my all time favourite!

Oh Penny - I had the house, the pool, the stables and the tree house. I loved them so much and then my mum gave them to my cousin for some unknown reason… I still haven’t forgiven her!!

I remember one necklace, with blonde hair, a lilac ‘shell’ and maybe a red jewel? And the hairbrush/car combo, the dolls had frizzy ginger hair? Also one with lilac hair, can’t remember what she was part of!

Tapping into your wisdom, does anyone remember small plastic dolls, that you clipped their plastic outfits onto? Mine had lilac clothes, maybe a dress and a shorts set? And a hat? And (I think) a small round circle with shoes moulded in, so they could stand up. It came with a small 2 storey (?) house, you clipped in the balconies (yellow) etc on the roof.

Also think the eyes might have been stickers, but that could just be me.

I had a She-Ra doll and also Kowl "The Know It Owl", you lifted up his belly and he answered your question, red for no, green for yes and yellow for maybe. He's down the page a bit.

Quince dolls, had the entire collection, and these fantail birds that clipped on your finger, also had a monster in my pocket collection and loved swapping furry/shiny stickers, my sister had a massive collection of pogs and slammers!

I had this Barbie! I lost her while I was riding my bike, and never, ever got over it. I would love one now

Teddy Ruckspin, you put cassettes in his back and he'd read you stories while his jaw moved in an alarming way and made the most horrendous grinding/crunching sounds, meant to look at though he was actually reading the story. How it didn't give me nightmares I don't know, I loved him!

Pretty Cut and Grow doll. She had hair you could cut, then pull it to make it grow again. I loved her.

Littlest pet shop, but not like the ones they do now... they used to be really cute and tiny. Now they seem to be like the animal version of those lol dolls or whatever they are, with huge exaggerated eyes, and just not realistic at all. Sigh.

Heck yes! Just looking at this image I found, I can remember what the whole set feels like. I remember they also did some more exotic pets. I had a bobcat with a cave.

I didn’t have many toys sadly, but loved cabbage Patch Dolls. I collected the miniature ones too. I think my dm still has them somewhere.
I also had a Monchichi toy, I think they’re called Cheekaboos. There’s a shop in Hong Kong that solely sells Monchichi’s 🐵
