Anyone with a crystal ball for travel restrictions?

I'm due to fly abroad for a 3 day break with my friends in Feb.

I know I'll need a PCR before I go, but if I need to do a PCR before I fly back to UK and then isolate for 2 days waiting PCR home then it's not doable.

Anyone want to predict or have any insight into if it will change?

at the moment it is a LFT before flying and PCR test when you land.

The LFT is looking to go I must say. The PCR test we did was actually quick. We got home at 11am - dropped off at 12:30pm and had the results at 6am the next morning so it was less than 24 hours if that helps

Which country are you travelling to?

Dubai

I don't know but the UK doesn't seem that strict about travellers entering the country, so i suspect you'll be fine.

I just wonder if I should wait a few weeks before I cancel. My friends have older kids and don't work, so if they have to isolate out there- even though it will be a pain, they're less worried than me...

I think the LFT in holiday county will go, but suspect the PCR will still be around. I don't think anyone will be checking that you're isolating until you get the results in though. If you preorder it and take it away with you, you could do it at the airport and get sent away asap - Randox have given us results in around 12 hours.
