Please help

Lost my way with my 3 year old, who basically will only eat nuggets and chips and anything else will pick at, any suggestions for what your 3 year old has for dinner? Thanks

If given a choice my DD would live off of turkey dinosaurs and rice. She does also like macaroni cheese with broccoli and peas in it; Fish cakes with garlic bread, corn on the cob, and veg; sausage and mash; roast dinner. She likes ‘easy peasy pasta’ (just pasta and veg, no sauce) after seeing it on Bing but in general is a very fussy eater.

Will they eat mashed potato/pasta/rice? Try subbing the chips for those? But not removing the chips at first, serve both together.

And roast chicken instead of chicken nuggets? My DDs are really picky with meat but will eat roast meats. I buy the mini fillets of chicken for them. But again, try serving alongside the nuggets at first.

If they already eat those things then just add new things alongside the current foods. So chicken nuggets and chips and a little bit of whatever you’re having. Encourage them to try but don’t make too much fuss as if anything like my DDs they just make it into a battle.

If it’s any consolation this was me as a child and I eat more of a varied diet now. Although I still love chicken nuggets Grin

We used to do wraps with whatever in the table, chicken, cheeses, salad etc so they could pick at foods, sit with her and let her explore. Any combination is good!
