I trim up for Christmas because of the grandchildren. I have lights everywhere, a snowing thing outside at the front and lights on the trees at the back and two trees indoors. I do this in stages leading up to Christmas.
I have slowly begun to remove decorations bit by bit so I am not daunted on the 6th.
It's quite satisfying as well ! I know.. I am easily pleased :)

I always take the cards down first, then the majority of the decorations, then the tree last.

I do mine in stages too. It’s too big a job to do in one go.
