Tesco Mobile - not receiving SMS texts - anyone else?

Just recently I'm finding that text messages sent to me are not coming through until hours late. My messages to others are getting through fine. Does anyone have any idea why this might be and is anyone else with Tesco mobile having this issue?

I'm with Tesco mobile. The only text I've not yet received is from Gerard Butler wishing me a HNY!

My husband had this problem. You have to do something with the Chat settings.

They've recently changed something which means that the texts try to use WiFi or something (so that it's more able to send huge videos etc). This might not work so easily as using the mobile networks.

Chat settings - Default to Text rather than Chat or Automatic.

Sorry, just reread and realised that they have to do something with their Chat settings. Is it just one person or several?

We've had this problem for years.

Always texts from DH to me (both Tesco). Some are irrelevant ones, some a little more important...
e.g. DH was in hospital (heart attack) and sent me a text to say he was being allowed home...I didn't get it for about 2 weeks Shock I collected him when I went to visit that afternoon

We've replaced his phone since then with a cheapo (not smart) PAYG and it seems ok, but anything really important has to be by phonecall not text, or wait now as we don't trust it.

I get my shopping delivered and thie gay won't let me bring my shopping in because there needed to be a adult but I told him I was 23 and still couldn't bring it in

It has just been suggested to me that my very erratic arrival of texts with OTP may be helped by switching off and on again. I will try in future - I think 'off' and 'on' are both via the red button.

Help please. Texts with OTPs from my bank are taking hours to arrive. My phone looks very like Alcatel 20.38X, but my phone is not a 'smartphone'. I have tried the Santander bank and I have tried Tesco, but cannot find anyone to help

Appreciate this was a while ago, but just wondered if you managed to resolve this? I'm having similar issues now but haven't been able to fix it.
