How long does the clingy face last? Driving me bananas!

DS is two. He's been clingy with me for a little while or so but it's ramped up in recent weeks, he won't let anyone else do anything. Always has to be me. Always has to be on me, holding my hand, have me in the room. Throws a tantrum when I leave the room.
I know it's a normal developmental phase but I'm finding it so hard as he doesn't want DH, doesn't want nanny, so I'm on the whole time. He starts nursery in Feb so I'm really hoping it eases off a bit by then.

I love him more than anything, but it's already wearing me down!

DH should do stuff for DS anyway. Go out anyway.

I phrased that badly, DH does still take him, does a lot with him but it's just hard on both of us at the moment as he plays up the whole time I'm not there (if he sees me leave which is sometimes unavoidable) and when I am there, he has to be ON me, touching me, have me really close so I can't get anything done!
