UK yoga retreat

I'm turning 50 this year and have decided I'd like to do a short yoga retreat to mark it. I'm keen to go on my own so I'm looking for one that isn't aimed at groups and I'm not looking for luxury, just peacefulness. I'm in East Yorkshire and would prefer to keep within 3 hours travel. Any recommendations?

I would keep an eye on Richie Norton on Instagram who has been running them near you, as well as Chris Magee and Cat Meffan who both have them planned for this year.

Oh thanks! I will look them up now!

Adventure Yogi are great. Their Peak District and Lake District retreats would fit what you’re after. The retreat I went on had an even mix of people who’d come on their own and people who came in pairs.

I could never go on a yoga holiday with a teacher whose classes I'd never tried out before. What if you don't like the teacher? And as someone said above, it could end up feeling cliquey if everyone else already knew each other.

I’ve been with Yoga Hikes a few times. They are based in the Lake District. Retreats are normally Friday evening-Sunday evening and there are 5 yoga sessions. It’s normally 50% pairs of friends and 50% individuals. Never feels cliquey, and I say that as an introvert.
