I thought that too, but the link is in the word "here" - first line.

I had posted on the original post..

That’s not far from me, bit out of my budget though 😂

CovidCorvid · 01/01/2022 19:27

I’m not sure about “immaculate condition “. I get it’s cosmetic bit it needs some serious updating. Grade 2 listed so does that mean you can’t change the layout inside? It’s a great size and location though. What is a Manston room on the floor plan? Is that what it says, I’m struggling to zoom in.

EllieQ · 01/01/2022 19:32

I love the tower! Anyone else wondering about the access to the promenade that has been boarded up, according to the description?

LynxGiftsetAndSocks · 01/01/2022 19:33

its horrible!! so dated and depressing, has potential though

I just assume they mean Manston like the airport...
Elderflower14 · 01/01/2022 19:47

@Pinkflipflop85 I thought that too!!

Fantastic views. What is it built on? Any costal erosion issues there? I think it’s fab.

BronwenFrideswide · 01/01/2022 19:47

The front and back fascia (?) stuff with those dark pebble things is awful and no doubt as it is Grade II listed you couldn't alter that.

No it’s great! Nothing more depressing than people modernising old buildings but taking out any personality and blitzing the interior with grey
thanksamillion · 01/01/2022 19:51

How is it the worlds oldest bungalow when people have been loiving in single storey dwellings for millenia? It seems like an odd claim to fame!

Soubriquet · 01/01/2022 19:53

It’s lovely but I would be worried about buying it and then the coast takes over and it falls into the sea

ScrumptiousBears · 01/01/2022 20:03

I'd also be worried about coastal erosion. We looked at a bungalow further north about 4 years ago and now it's no longer there. You can see the start of what was the drive at the edge of the cliff.

Timeforabiscuit · 01/01/2022 20:12

Those dark grey pebbles are flint, and really iconic to the area - so I would expect planning (and most locals) would NOT want you messing with it.

borisisaknob · 01/01/2022 20:17

God that's awful - like some tacky seaside b&b

megletthesecond · 01/01/2022 20:20

It's horrible. Will the end of the garden fall off into the sea in a decade?

Nice Tertris wallpaper.

lucysnowe2 · 02/01/2022 19:56

Gosh, I love it! (but am a big fan of the seaside anyway). Imagine that view every morning! you could have a cup of tea in the garden and watch everyone on the prom.

(I am surprised it is the world's oldest bungalow tho as I thought they were first built in India, and there must be some there still?)

Deathraystare · 03/01/2022 13:27

Where is it? Cannot work out, never heard of where it says.

There is a map on the listing. You can zoom out for a better idea.

The distance from Margate train station on the listing is surely a bit of a clue.
