I've booked to go to the Canaries in February. What would happen if I test positive for covid on the pre departure test to get back to the UK.

I presume you would have to stay in your accommodation for 10 days, but what if it's booked, what about the cost, how would I get food etc.

I've checked my insurance which is very difficult to understand but I think it says I don't have coverage for covid but I do have coverage for random things like dental, motor sports etc which are not needed.

I do have the Global Health Insurance Card (which replaced the E111 when UK left EU)

Any advice? It's only a trip for 4 days over half term! I booked it for a surprise for DC because it is so much cheaper than Center Parcs!
