Isolation dates

Good evening,

In need of some advice as 119 is unavailable.

My 4yo started with a headache on Wednesday, lateral flow delivered yesterday and she has tested positive. I have finally managed to book a pcr for tomorrow. I expect that will be positive too.

When will her isolation start from?

TIA

If you test positive, your self-isolation period includes the day your symptoms started

Thank you. I did think Wednesday too but then a friend said day 0 is when I tested her.

Day 1 is first day of symptoms.

End of day 10 isolation is Saturday. Wednesday is day 0

That’s only for someone with no symptoms.

I,m in the paradoxical position of waiting for ds’s pcr results, and by the time they come through they won’t matter because he will have completed isolation anyway.

@TwinkleTwinkleLittleStarFightr
How has he been?
Hope the rest of the household have been unaffected. I expect I'll get some sort of symptoms soon. Dd is only 4 and she's just wanted cuddles for the last few days.

Scroll down on above link and there is a helpful chart. Day test is done or symptoms start is day 0

FingChristmasFamily · 01/01/2022 20:29

Date of symptoms. So Wednesday. Same day as me. Last day for me is next Saturday, of course I’ll be out sooner if I test negative on day 6 and 7. Fingers crossed.

@FingChristmasFamily
Fingers crossed for you.
