Is it still under warranty? Can you hear the compressor going OP? If not it could be the compressor has failed or the main board. I hope you haven’t lost a lot of food. But I expect that you will need to replace it sadly, if it’s still in warranty get onto them, Tues now I expect. Good luck.

Luckily I was due a food shop and kids are eating all the ice creams. Will have to check the warranty but I think its only 12 months.

Does the fridge light come on when you open the door?
Has someone left the door open?

I am an American grandma who just joined mumsnet to help with your problem. I have a GE refrigerator [they also make Hot Point] This happened to me recently. I learned to my surprise that my basic model fridge has a computer which needed to be reset. To do this I had to unplug the fridge for 10 minutes and then plug in again. It took less than 12 hours to restore the temperature. I hope this helps you and Happy New Year from the American midwest!

That really bad if it has packed up at 18mth old, a FF should last 10yrs+. Worth checking the fuse, that is a good idea. Also are the grills at the back clean of fluff? Ours were shocking when we moved. Does it have an alarm if the doors aren’t closed properly?

I will second checking the grills at the back. My Beko was doing the same thing and I was ready to buy a new one when someone at work mentioned this. Dh attacked the back with the hover and it is still going many years later.
