Dilemma...

If you had relocated to a new area and were renting and:

  • couldn't find a property to buy in your price range
  • there were more buyers than available properties
  • you were paying over the odds for a property and couldn't find another one cheaper / more suitable to rent
  • you and your DH had new jobs that you liked
  • the kids LOVED their new school...

What would you do? Would you consider buying an apartment? We also have a dog which makes this impractical!

It's a long story how we ended up here but due to unexpected changes we are in a position we hadn't anticipated...

Thanks!

i'd look at cheaper areas that might have a slightly longer commute. if i was ok at DIY i might look at doer upers. Depends on how old the kids were - if upper school i'd be less keen on moving them than if they were primary age. depends on how much more money i would need to save for a house - where my son lives in london lots of people have flats and they would need to save lots to get a house
