Kind of the opposite of the other thread. What jobs would attract you to a prospective partner ?

Farmer. Rugged, outdoorsy, and hardly ever home. Added bonus that I get to see farm animals that are my absolute favourite thing in the world.

A job in a stable profession - but not one with long hours.

University lecturer, psychologist, psychotherapist, IT jobs.

University lecturer, the hours are horrendous though flexible:) the pay is decent if your permanent and get a senior role. I have retired early from higher education. DH is still a Professor on close to 70k pa.

Doctor at a hospital. I love the idea of it but him being on call or working long, unsociable hours would annoy the hell out of me in reality!

Doesn't it depend on the subject? If not then I'll have to put that one on the other thread!

I don't mind long hours in a way because I like my own space but I'd hate to be with someone who was working almost 24/7 and who had to cancel plans and holidays at short notice.

I work to live, not the other way around so I'd want a partner who shared that.

A blue collar job where he would come home, sweaty but still sexy, muscular, ready to shag my brains out after a day of hard work Blush bonus points if he has big tradesman’s hands
