My kids are at their dad's until 2 Jan 
and my DP and I thought we'd have a spontaneous mystery night in a hotel. Initially we thought Edinburgh but the Hogmanay celebrations have been cancelled (boo Nicola!). Please could anyone recommend their town or city for NYE? We're travelling from Sheffield by train. We don't fancy London or Manchester and don't want to be on train for more than 3 hours.
