Do they realise how controlling they are?
I laugh but I'm only half joking.
I know a man who helps literally anyone and everyone. Everyone seems to think he's lovely, but I find him controlling. His partner is "allowed" to do literally nothing for herself. She has told me she finds it annoying sometimes.
I had a puncture at an event he was also at recently. Although he wasn't with me when I discovered it, a friend who was went running off to find Helpful Man.
By the time they got back, I had done what needed doing and was literally just about to put the dust cap back on, which he took off me to do!
I mean he is a great person to know when you do need help, but I can't help feeling that there's something uncomfortable about the level of control he exerts.
Do you think he realises that's what he does or is he genuinely just wanting to help?
