Ye gods. The slurry that has come out of my carpet is revolting. Like, how the fuck can 2 teenagers, me and a cat drag that much grot into the lounge (via either the hallway or kitchen), and what delights will I continue to be repulsed by as I move to sofa and chairs out tomorrow? How many times will I have to go over it until it produces no sludge? Can I find a way to ban shoes indoors? What's the mumsnet way re slippers in the house for us and guests? Can 8 force the cat to wear outdoor shoes?
