Prahleen or prayleen?

Just watching the Hairy Bikers talking to a French man about the praline he's making, but they're calling it prayleen - it's pronounced prahleen isn't it, with a long aah sound? I might be squirming because I'm worried I've been saying it incorrectly all these years 😬

I'm reminded of the time a sweet stall holder took the piss out of me for asking for 'nougah' instead of nugget

You do pronounce it nougah unless the stall holder is Ronald McDonald and you are ordering a happy meal

I don't think I've ever said praline but if pushed I think I'd have said prahleen

After the first response I was thinking this was another affectation I'd inherited from my parents. Okay, so not just me then. Phew.
