Could anyone explain findings of an ECG please?

Just before Christmas my DS had an ECG where it was discovered he has an elevated ST wave. We are now waiting for a referral to see someone in cardiology. I have absolutely no idea what it means and haven’t had much success Googling it. I’d be ever so grateful if someone could shed any light. He has no symptoms and is very fit and active. Thanks

A hopeful bump, although I probably should have put this in ‘health’.

The cardiologist is probably the best person to give you the answers you’re looking for. Any finding on an ecg needs to be interpreted in the context in which it was taken and the pattern in which the finding occurs. It could be something innocent but can also be something that needs more investigations or treatment. Hope it turns out well.

Thank you for replying. You’re absolutely right of course, I’m just eager for him to be seen and Christmas has put the brakes on a bit.
