Small joys in 2021

Like lots of people, the last (2!) year has been rubbish for us. Thought it might be nice to look back and think of something small that has made you happy in 2021.

Mine's very unoriginal- lockdown and DH working from home meant we got a puppy in Jan '21. We already had an older dog and had been wanting to add another for a while but didn't feel we were at home enough with work and after school activities to settle in a puppy. She's been an absolute joy and light for us and makes us laugh every day. I adore my older dog too, just something about a crazy pup running around that lightens everyone's spirits.

We moved to the perfect house! Took advantage of the crazy market and made a great profit on our old house which allowed us to buy something much bigger, closer to school and detached (always the dream).

Now we have the massive kitchen we always wanted which we pretty much live in. Love it.

I just spent a few hours cuddling my 10 week old grandson on the sofa. Perfect. Such a light in an otherwise challenging year.

I published a book. The rest of my life came crashing down though. Absolute car crash.

I think all of those are big things! Congratulations all, lovely things to hear ❤

Even though it gave us so much stress between April and November (how long conveyancing took!) we finally moved into our first house after renting a flat for many years. My kids now have rooms of their own and we have 2 loos! And now we are not renting we can get a cat at last Smile
