Leona Peach has been missing since the 20th December. It only now seems to be making national news. She is so, so young. Please let’s help get this information out there.

There was another thread on this earlier this week. The assumption on that was that they know where she is hence why not much publicity. She apparently left foster care and they believe she is with her dad.

Yes they are looking for her Dad.

The media will of course push a massive campaign if there is no one who knows where this girl is.

At present they're assuming she is with her dad.

They think she's with her dad so not exactly missing more a custody dispute

Either way she is missing, if with her dad he’s not been in touch with the relevant authorities. I would have hoped more would be concerned.

Thousands of children go missing in the UK every year and never make the news so I'm not surprised she hasn't until now.

I don't really know why the odd few do make the news when the vast majority don't.

Sometimes the police don't release more information to the public for safety reasons about the missing child & who they're with.

It won't be massive news if they know she is with her dad and not actually at any risk to her safety.

"A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Following an extensive policing operation, 12-year-old Leona Peach who was reported missing from Newton Abbot on the morning of Monday 20 December, has been located safe and well.

"Aided by officers from Lincolnshire Police and with support from Devon Child Services and Lincolnshire Child Services, units attended and undertook a search of an address near Boston this afternoon and located Leona; She will continue to be supported by specialist officers and child services.

"During the search police have arrested a 34-year-old man, originally from Devon, on suspicion of child abduction and kidnap. He is due to be transferred into police custody within Devon and Cornwall for questioning in due course.

"Officers would like to thank the public for their support in helping us locate Ms Peach."
