Mines lose weight.. Again!
And no pics of dc on SM. I know I shouldn't but I do, not much just the odd ones as lots of distant older family like to see. But I'll go back to the old way of sending pics maybe 3x a year like used to.

Get to the bottom of why my nearly 2 years old dc doesn't eat sleep or has 10 mega tantrums daily. Tackle 1 thing a time.

No planning or marking past midnight.
The last few years I have become steadily worse at this as I have taken on additional respobsibilites at work, and I now work past midnight most work nights. I'd love to be able to stop this.

-Aim to go out every day, even if it's just for a walk around the block
-Drink more water
-Stop letting people get away with things that are wrong, I've spent too long thinking people will change or respect others, they need to be taught a lesson.
-Get organised

Less screen time.
More hobby/craft time.

Patbutchersarrow · 29/12/2021 10:58

Lose weight (same as every year Blush) stop making an effort with people who just aren't worth it.

penguinwithasuitcase · 29/12/2021 11:06

General resolutions:

Make sure my friends know how much I love them as often as possible and in lots of different ways
Pay extra attention to the very little things that bring me joy
Explore somewhere new in the place where I live once a month
Every time I 'think' a compliment about someone, tell them

And then my big goal for 2022 is to write a book.

MintyGreenDream · 29/12/2021 12:15

I need to stop comfort eating.its my biggest downfall

fedup078 · 29/12/2021 12:17

Eat better
I don't need to lose weight but my diet is so unhealthy

TroysMammy · 29/12/2021 12:21

Get off my are and go for a walk. I had walking boots for Christmas, at my request and today I bought socks and a waterproof jacket. I'm not planning on hiking or walking up hills but I need to start somewhere.

TroysMammy · 29/12/2021 12:21

Get off my arse.

MarmaladeCloud · 29/12/2021 12:23

Go to yoga every Monday night like I used to.
Walk the school run twice a week.
Read one evening a week
Use the cross trainer 3 times a week.

Tarahumara · 29/12/2021 12:28

Eat better and lose weight
Read War and Peace

MusicTeacherSussex · 29/12/2021 12:31

Make more of an effort to spend money on houseplants instead of other impulse buys, then make even more of an effort to keep them alive and healthy.

They improve my mood and the look of my house so much, I'm gonna try and stick to a plant app this time.

And stop my fat Bombay catboy eating the fern on the lounge windowsill.

INeedNewShoes · 29/12/2021 12:50

Mine is to spend less time looking at my phone.

DD’s (4.5y) is to break her habit of always saying she is hungry after every meal (even after a big portion of roast dinner and apple crumble she will automatically say ‘I’m still hungry’)

seventyminutes · 29/12/2021 13:25

I'm taking it a month at a time I find that works best but I always have a main thing to work on. This year it will be working on my career to make me more employable, I'm off to do an evening course in March and I have a coding class in jan.

My January resolution is to have a 'raw' January - back to basics, no make up, no products, no tools on my hair, no deodorant or fake tan or anything like that (I'm not going anywhere anyway!) eating more raw foods, no alcohol etc.

I'm indulging over the next few days but I can't wait to drop it all and get back in touch with me.

seventyminutes · 29/12/2021 13:26

Oh and also work on my anxiety because it's been really bad recently. I might resort to feel the fear and do it anyway rather than constantly backing out of things

WayshrineNotFound · 29/12/2021 13:30

I'm trying to think of it more as goals I'll try to work on.

  • I want to work up to running a 10k next year. I like running, but most of mine are still pretty short, and I've been finding it hard trying to advance, so I'm going to do some googling and try to make a realistic plan for myself.
  • Get back into studying. The pandemic derailed me in 2020, and I want to get back into it, even a little bit.
  • Vague plans to lose 5-10 lbs for vanity, but I'm not really sure if it's a real goal, or just some post-Christmas knee jerk thought.
Mabelface · 29/12/2021 13:32

Stop drinking diet coke and eating sweets. My teeth are fucked. A combination of the above and a mh breakdown earlier in the year that meant I didn't look after them well.

GlumyGloomer · 29/12/2021 13:45

My main one is to accept I can't moderate and cut out all sweets/chocolate/biscuits/cake. It's going to be brutal but as a future diabetic it needs to he done. I am allowing myself 1 easter egg and immediate family birthday cake though. Can't go completely cold turkey.
I also want to declutter the house.
@penguinwithasuitcase good luck with the book! I wrote one for 2021, but it's not great. In 2022 I'm going to rewrite it.
