Fillet steak or Indian takeaway?

New Year’s Eve meal

Would you go for:

Fillet steak, Roquefort cheese, pepper sauce, chips, onion rings & garlic mushrooms-bit of a mish mash but all things we love

OR

Indian takeaway:

Chicken tikka masala
Garlic naans
Coconut rice
Raita and mango chutney

Dessert will be shop bought for either-something chocolatey

Price for both is more or less the same, takeaway maybe slightly more

Indian, then steak for lunch the next day.

I’d go takeaway if it’s not something you do regularly. A. Less faff for whoever is cooking, everyone can have a bit of whatever. B. Less faff for whoever is cooking.

We are going to have steak I think.
The queues were crazy last year for takeaways around here.

HemanOrSheRa · 28/12/2021 23:13

I'd go for Indian takeaway but order more so there are leftovers for lunch the next day. Then steak with all the trimmings on Sunday 2nd Jan. In fact I may just do this!

Sn0tnose · 28/12/2021 23:14

I’d definitely want the steak, but I don’t like Indian takeaway, it wouldn’t be me who had to cook and the queue for takeaway is usually a mile long on New Year’s Eve.

Indian Xmas Grin

Apple40 · 28/12/2021 23:18

The steak, the last Indian take away we had was over an hour late and stone cold when it finally arrived.

Notonthenewrug · 28/12/2021 23:19

Steak! However I'm not a fan of Indian. Do love Chinese food though.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 28/12/2021 23:20

Both please 😋

The steak meal sounds delicious, but I'm craving curry atm.

Grenlei · 28/12/2021 23:20

Steak.

I would eat fillet steak once a week if I could, I love it.

We had a rolled sirloin joint for Christmas Day, it was my best Christmas dinner ever.

itsutterlyshit · 28/12/2021 23:20

Indian takeaway. And order so much you feel like you don't need to eat for a week and there's enough leftovers for lunch the next day

mediumbrownmug · 28/12/2021 23:21

Indian, definitely. But then again I’m not a huge fan of steak.

RedRobin100 · 28/12/2021 23:21

Steak

I really dislike takeaways / always disappointing

JurgensCakeBabyJesus · 28/12/2021 23:27

Usually I'd say Indian takeaway, although I love a good steak too, we have an amazing one locally, but NYE will be a nightmare with delivery times more likely to get mistakes with orders etc so would go for steak and likely will do...

CatNameChange101 · 28/12/2021 23:32

Indian. But change mine to a lamb pathia with a peshwari naan. Mmmmmmm

Starkrealityofjanuary · 28/12/2021 23:34

Ohh now I like the idea of both, one New Year’s Eve (prob the takeaway) and one New Year’s Day night 😬but will set me back a fair bit…beans on toast and pasta the rest of the week 🤷🏻‍♀️
