So...
I've stuffed myself with chocolate (all kinds) traditional dinner ... chocolate brownies, cheese boards, buffet beige stuff... a little booze (half a bottle of Asti Christmas Day- rock and roll!)
After eights- bloody after eights!!!!

Tell me what you've had over the last few days so I can
A) feel like I'm not the only one
Or
B) Get jealous and buy any goodies I like the sound of before the years out Blush

Lighthearted of course !

I think everything.

My in-laws gave us a selection of vegan things- shortbread, choc cookies etc. I tried the fudge and haven't been anywhere near the rest of the hamper. I've had loads of different cheeses, most of a box of roses chocs, a melted brie thing in pastry which was pretty yummy yesterday. Virtually no fruit. Some small mince pies with cream. Really good Xmas pudding from Tescos. Toast and marmalade for brekkie as usual. The element in the oven packed up two days ago so its a stir fry for tea tonight. Did I say cheese? Loads of cheese. And some home-made mulled wine although the stuff you get ready-made was probably just about as nice.

Massive hit this year has been <a class="break-all" href="https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=AjNANytJ&id=B8145A3898998E516AE968085B5AAB766FA4EEC8&thid=OIP.AjNANytJt6SxA9-xp9vIjwAAAA&mediaurl=d3l6n8hsebkot8.cloudfront.net/images/products/11/LN_497960_BP_11.jpg&cdnurl=th.bing.com/th/id/R.023340372b49b7a4b103dfb1a7dbc88f?rik=yO6kb3arWlsIaA&pid=ImgRaw&r=0&exph=290&expw=290&q=waitrose+rose+harissa,nuts&simid=608032000533754995&form=IRPRST&ck=219EE69EC58481A59E71F966E01639F9&selectedindex=0&ajaxhist=0&ajaxserp=0&vt=4&sim=11&adlt=demote&shtp=GetUrl&shid=00fd3074-1096-43bc-846a-35606119bd20&shtk=V2FpdHJvc2UgUm9zZSBIYXJpc3NhIFNwaWNlZCBOdXQgTWl4IHwgV2FpdHJvc2UgJiBQYXJ0bmVycw%3D%3D&shdk=Rm91bmQgb24gQmluZyBmcm9tIHd3dy53YWl0cm9zZS5jb20%3D&shhk=hvvEyIHsMmpDs3SQALUH5njRPpubic7HQt5aCjd6hJQ%3D&shth=OIP.AjNANytJt6SxA9-xp9vIjwAAAA" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Waitrose crack nuts, as I now call them. They're insanely addictive and I'm going back there tomorrow to stock up before they stop selling them.

Oh ive eaten so much. Ive loved it.

SalcombeSunset · 28/12/2021 18:04

Apart from Christmas dinner and a fish pie lunch I did for visiting friends yesterday, have mostly been grazing on homemade sausage rolls, cheese and crackers, pate and chocolates / chocolate biscuits. Have had a steady stream of Baileys in my coffee and wine / fizz with every meal except breakfast! Love this time of year for the fact I can enjoy a rich diet, guilt free for a few days. Don’t think I’ve gone crazy, but I haven’t deprived myself!

runsmidgeOMG · 28/12/2021 18:37

Oh these all sound lovely !!!
I'm with the I've eaten everything brigade... Hoping I still fit in my work uniform this week Xmas Blush

I've eaten:
Pringles
Mince pies
Toblerone cheesecake (not worth it though)
Crackers and Boursin cheese
Pizza
Beige buffet food
Some Crudités
Christmas cupcakes - homemade
Gingerbread men - homemade
A Christmas chocolate bombe (from
Lidl and also not worth it)
Chips
Pepsi max via sodastream
Lots of hot chocolates via velvetiser Christmas present Grin

This is actually quite cathartic - like a confessional list of just how much junk I've eaten. I don't fit into my jeans or look okay in any trousers anymore (and that was before Christmas! Blush)

I'm tempted to take some of the cupboard contents to the food bank as we were given a lot of biscuits, chocolates etc.

Here's to a better way of eating in January!

birkenstocks4ever · 28/12/2021 21:01

Pastries, Xmas dinner, pudding, more pudding, mince pies, cheese, pate, more cheese, chocolate, even more cheese, pork pies, port, wine, turbo snowballs, panettone. The list goes on...
Had the cheek to have a Chinese takeaway tonight as well 🙈 Shopping came today and loads of fruit & veg in fridge so normal eating resumes tomorrow

tiredanddangerous · 28/12/2021 21:02

Cheese. All the cheese.

foreverandalways · 28/12/2021 21:12

Not a lot

Gutted to hear the chocolate bomb wasn't worth it (what disappointed you I have to ask!) as was hoping to try one in near future *adds to list Grin

@runsmidgeOMG
It didn't taste very nice to be honest. See the photos attached for an idea of what it was meant to look like and what it looked like after heating...
