BBC Around the World in 80 days- age suitability?

Has anyone watched the BBC Around the World in 80 days adaptation and could let me know what age range it’s suitable for? I can’t find much guidance online, and a quick flick through revealed a lot of shooting in the first episode. I am wondering whether it would be too much for a 7 and 8 year old, who aren’t particularly great with violence or peril. Thanks!

Well it's on well before the watershed but the plot of ATWI80D does involve both violence and peril. Not gory, I'd expect, but there are fights and more than one death.

I think they are a bit young. The first episode has some riot scenes that would possibly scare nervous children and a character basically commits suicide by cop.
The second episode has a young child with a badly broken/bleeding leg who is clearly in great pain and losing consciousness and who would die if they can’t get help quickly.
It’s not graphic but quite dramatic and rather more serious in tone than these things usually are.

Thanks both - sounds like we are best giving it a swerve.
