DH is still asleep. DC stayed at grandparents last night and not back until Wednesday evening.

I've put the bins out now sitting on the sofa eating mince pies and drinking tea enjoying the peace and quiet.

I need to go back to bed really as I'm tired, but I have a lot to do.
So I'm procrastinating.

We are at Butlins until Thursday. Going to venture out for breakfast soon. It's raining but we'll go swimming soon.

I am drinking a cup of tea before I have to face the day. DC2 didn't wake me up until 8am today, she is in the front room watching rubbish on youtube, DC1 is still asleep. I need to somehow make them get dressed and go outside today, because they haven't been out except to go from house to car to someone else's house since... I don't know when. And tackle the mountains to new toys that don't live anywhere.

Off to look for new running trainers. Im desperate. Them back home to tidy up up snd cook healthy veg and fish for tea. Sick of seeing Christmas food now.

I woke up at 8, made a cup of tea and came back to bed. Kids are playing with their new things and I am enjoying the quiet moments where I can. DH is back at work today so not much planned for the rest of the week, just relaxing!

We had guests last night so I am battling a hangover and attempting to tidy up!

We're at SIL's. I've had a big lie-in, now drinking tea and debating getting dressed. We're supposed to be venturing out for a beach walk today but the weather is foul so we'll see.

I went to the panto last night. It was a fun night out post Christmas and was a sign that things despite all the depressing articles are slowly returning to normal. I had a lot of fun clapping and singing with a mask on.

DH is having a lie in. I am on the sofa with the dogs at the moment, we are all snug, but I will need to get some food soon. Putting it off as long as I can, once I move both dogs will follow and cosy time will be over.

Plan for today is catch up on a bit of DIY we have been talking about for weeks 😬

My friend is coming over shortly, so I'm doing a little bit of tidying up. DD is upstairs "doing her hair"

Other than that it will be a day of drinking tea, chatting and possibly doing something for dinner other than leftovers!

I’ve been awake since my usual work alarm time of 6am!

I’ve done yoga, had breakfast, sorted the recycling, done two loads of laundry, emptied the dishwasher & currently have it on with a dishwasher cleaner in it, I’ve sorted the recycling, poop scooped the outside litter box and now I’m contemplating my 4th cuppa whilst watching rubbish on TV.

I'm feeling sorry for myself tbh and need to buck up out of it for DC.
I got the fob off yesterday from my mum and a days visit in our house has turned into 15 minutes in the cold and rain. DPs won't come near us, will be masked and will keep it brief.

There are no more hoops we can jump through as a family. We're vaxxed, haven't seen anyone for 10 days, PCR'd and LFT'd.
I feel sad that it is no longer Covid, but anxiety guiding mum's reasoning. And that in turn is ruining the once brilliant relationship my DPs had with my DC and me.

Still in bed with my kindle. DD playing in her room, DH downstairs somewhere. It's windy and chucking it down outside so seems like a good excuse for a duvet day. Will get up soon to throw turkey curry in the slow cooker and feed the cats. I plan on being as lazy as possible today!

Enjoying a coffee after doing a quick tidy around and sorting the bins, and just put a laundry load in. So, house feels organised again. Popping out to M&S soon to stock up the fridge then going to have a lazy afternoon browsing the John Lewis sale on line.

DH and I have just started watching Outlander so looking forward to another episode tonight.

DS1 is playing on the oculus.
DD is reading Harry Potter.
DS2 is playing power rangers.

I'm sat drinking a cherry coke zero and considering going on the laptop to play the sims.

It's dd2's 12th birthday today 🤯 she's unwrapped her presents & is currently colouring by numbers while drinking a brew. She wants to decorate her own cake so I'm going to tidy up the kitchen then we'll do that.

My dad's calling at some point with Christmas, and birthday, presents & to collect his presents too. And nanna's meant to be calling as well but I'm not sure she will if the rain carries on.

Party food for tea & I'll make the last part of one of dd2's presents (but there's no rush - it doesn't need this bit for a while yet).

The rest of the day will probably be a relaxed moochy kind of day.

I got up at 06.30 to let the dog out and feed him, then he went back to sleep so I went back to bed. DH got up and went food shopping about 08.30. I had a lovely lie in until 09.30. DS1 is gaming upstairs. DS2 is playing with his marble run in the conservatory. DH is watching tv. DDog is asleep again - he's a pup and has found the last few days very exciting! I'm MNing and deciding whether to have another cup of tea or clean the fish tank out.

I'm making bacon sandwiches for lunch and then DS2 has a 5th birthday party this afternoon which I am taking him to.

DH will be watching the football. We've got chilli for dinner and then DH and I will watch a film when the DC are in bed. Ddog will get a walk later as well.

No real plans for the rest of the week - we've got friends coming NYE so the house needs a bloody good clean but that's it!

I've sorted a cupboard this morning and really want to sort the fridge before I go to dm's but looks like I'm going clothes shopping!

I’ve just had some breakfast, dh is just making himself some lunch, ds is in the shower, no one has seen the dds yet.
Cleaning and tidying and sorting stuff out at home today for us, we are going away tomorrow so want everything to be lovely when we leave so nice to come back to.
Boring!

I've done some washing and ironing today.
DH just made us all cheese and ham toasties for lunch. I need to clean out cupboard in the bathroom but watching Four in a Bed and browsing mumsnet.

Lying on my bed scrolling through mumsnet. I've got some work to do (self employed) but before that I think I'm going to wrap up, put on my walking boots and go for a walk on the downs.

The weather here was shite yesterday. Wet and windy so I couldn't get out. Today it's grey and overcast but at least it's dry so I'm going to get out while I can.

Trying to teach ds how to play snakes and ladders, he’s 15 and has Down Syndrome, it’s getting excitable and noisy!

Just about to go for a hike with neighbour. DH is watching a cartoon about a worm think it’s a Julia Donaldson book he seems to be enjoying it
Just had some curly fries with the last of the Turkey and some salad.
One DD has Covid and one has an ear infection so they are not on top form and there is a lot of sleeping. Supposed to be having the cancelled Christmas with in laws at weekend and my DF for a dinner at some point when DD tests negative under new rules.
Not really in the mood now for any further big dinners and so on but will have to get a grip.
