A ghost just whispered in my ear

Just snoozing away happily when someone whispered in my ear and I jolted awake. Thought it was my DH and something was wrong but he's also happily snoozing.

It was something exactly like in a film - clear as day, "wake up."

Now, obviously it wasn’t a ghost. I don’t believe in ghosts. Except maybe when they whisper in my ear at 4am. So now you all can tell me there's no such things as ghosts so I can stop being freaked out. 😆

I used to get these. I remember too, I thought I could hear breathing and I rationalised it away, must be me, I'm out of synch with my own breathing, my ears are hearing it after I've taken the breath and I think it's somebody else. I was doing my level best not to believe that I could hear breathing. So I held my breath and I could hear breathing

an auditory hallucination? ok.

I've started to have this in the last few months, I presume it is (for me) menopause related.
I've woken to clear, apparently external voices telling me to get up, come on, hurry up... but often dog barking too. I get up to let the dog out but find he's snoring beside me and there's no barking.

It's annoying, but not sinister or supernatural.

When I was 17 I heard a voice as I was dropping off one night. It said “Envy he who lives no longer.” I jolted upright, slammed my bedside lamp on and made a note of the words. Next day I wrote what happened down in my diary and when I did the full stop I got the strongest sense of deja vu I think I’ve ever had. Very weird.

My dc’s name came to me that way, just as I was looking at the dipstick confirming my pregnancy. “This is what it will be and this will be the name”. All came true.

I’m not going to say ghosts aren’t real because the truth is that there are demons on earth deceiving all and in this instance it seems they were trying to scare you. Next time if you ever hear this command the demons to leave you alone in the name of Jesus. Jesus has all authority he is the son of God and they must listen to him. When you command them to leave they must leave.
