Pre eclampsia, do you have to have all symptoms?

Evening all, so the past 2 days my right side (mainly leg, foot and hand) have swollen quite a lot. Worried about pre eclampsia but don’t seem to have any headaches, visual disturbances etc, does anyone know if you can get pre eclampsia with just swelling as a symptom?

Still here and looks like I will be for another night, they really are struggling to bring BP down even after lots of meds, because of this still unsure what the plan is but I’m in the right place. Thank you ladies xx

How many weeks are you OP? Have they mentioned induction or delivering baby depending on how many weeks you are?

I’m 34 weeks, no mention of any plan further than taking more tablets and them keep taking my BP, it’s started to come dow at last so fingers crossed it carries on that way x

Oh I'm glad your BP is coming down. I'd definitely ask them what the plan is and how long they currently plan on letting you carry on before delivering baby and their thoughts on baby being safer in than out.

I had no symptoms other than a slight raise in blood pressure and protein in my urine

Saw midwife Monday I was planned to be induced that Friday

Saw midwife again Wednesday, blood pressure increased and protein increased
Sent to be induced that evening baby born next morning

I didn't feel any different , no other symptoms that I noticed

NameChangeCity123 · 28/12/2021 18:55

@PivotPivotPivottt

I had no symptoms at all it was only discovered after a blood test because I had some protein in my urine at a check up.
This was the same With me too and I had to have an emergency c section 6 weeks early and get monitored twice A week for 4 weeks before that. Please Get checked out and keep yourself safe

Just before my bleed on the brain. I was pumped full of Bp meds

My BP was 240/150. I think I had about 5 lots. So don’t worry if they keep having to give you more xx

I lost ds1 when he was born prematurely so my consultant saw me every two weeks during my pregnancy with ds2I had no symptoms.. My PE was picked up on a blood test. I was taken in for a few days bed rest.. Consultant allowed me home as DH was a nurse and we had a blood pressure machine at home under strict instructions to come in of necessary.. Ten days later I was admitted and ds2 was born 2 weeks early and was a small 5lb 10 oz...

Panda8383 · 05/03/2022 11:26

@xxkellsbellsxx

That’s lovely news ❤️ Your beautiful boy will be with you always, what did you call him? If you don’t mind me asking xxx

xxkellsbellsxx · 06/03/2022 01:15

@Panda8383 we named him James, after his Daddy. He is the double of his daddy too. We had post mortem results back which show there wasn't anything wrong, so bittersweet, there was just no need for him to die but at the same time it means there isn't anything that would suggest for it to happen again.

Just need to try and relax and just take it one day at a time xx
