TV Crossovers

Am watching Eastenders with Chelsea giving birth very prematurely, and was thinking it would be good if maybe she had the baby on the Holby City set (obviously if it wasn't cancelled)

I really hate the Greys Anatomy/Station 19 crossovers as they are too involved and you have to watch S19 to know what it going on in in Greys, but popping in to other soaps could really work

As soon as I saw the thread title it made me think of Grey's Anatomy Sad I've loved it for years, but don't want to watch Station 19, and it's made me not want to continue watching Greys because the crossovers mean you miss important storyline pieces. IMO a crossover should be fun and not to fulfill storylines.

I'd love a YOU / Emily in Paris crossover next seasons Grin

There was an episode of ER back in the day that crossed over with another American show, it was about police I think but I’m not sure what it was. The ER half was Susan’s sister, an addict, had relapsed and Susan got a panicked message from her niece so Susan flew to where ever it was to look for them. But the other show was never on over here so we never got the story resolved and ER never mentioned it again!

The Chicago series does this quite well. Chicago Fire, PD, Med. They often have characters from the other shows just present from time to time in the others, not even solely for major storylines, just as kind of background stuff (they'll go to a bar and some of the other chars will be there, or one of the police chars will bring someone to the hospital etc.) and it does make it feel like a connected 'world'. Any crossovers I've seen have been contained and you don't have to watch the other series (I haven't got round to Chicago PD, but watched Fire and Med and the police crossover bits were easily to follow without watching the PD series).
