It’s 2 single parents, children aged 6, 9, 15 and 18. Is it with doing? I need some ideas for how to break up a few very long days together!

Sorry not done it but would be interested to know if anyone has and how it went. So difficult to do anything with almost constrain rain Hmm

WeaverofWords · 27/12/2021 19:09

Yes absolutely! Walks, etc harder than usual. This looks kind of fun…

We did it this year, wasn't that impressed to be honest! If I wasn't local I would have been cross. Only cost me £30 and kids enjoyed it. Motorsports fans would be more impressed I guess at the chance to drive on the circuit (albeit at 5mph!)

MiloAndEddie · 27/12/2021 19:57

Most of the reviews I’ve read (from normal people rather than influencers/reviewers) said it was good but expensive for what it was

ChristingleJingle · 27/12/2021 20:02

It's alright but not amazing. Personally, I would only do it in the lead up to Christmas as it helps build the anticipation. It's over very quickly. We didn't do it, but apparently the ice skating (extra £) is the best bit...

I would agree with this.

We went last year as it was one of very few Christmas events still on. We enjoyed it, but didn’t go back this year, it was a long drive as we live in London and didn’t think it was worth the drive. It was fun though and glad we did it once.

My daughter is there at the moment! When she comes home I will ask her what it was like.

WeaverofWords · 27/12/2021 20:12

Gahhhh! Thanks everyone. Yes, I wondered if it was better in the lead up to Christmas. I think the younger ones are a bit Christmassed out, so it might be lost on them & they’re not exactly huge fans… hmm thank you! Very helpful indeed!

@canyon2000 I would still be interested to hear what your DD thought!

As PP’s have said, it’s ok but quite expensive for what it is. The best bit is knowing you are driving on the “real” track. It was raining heavy though when we did it so I was very thankful that it is something that isn’t impacted by the weather at all! It’s a couple of hours drive for us and I wouldn’t go again.

canyon2000 · 27/12/2021 21:34

She has just got back and really enjoyed it! Said it was good fun beeping along to the music on the radio while driving around the track, and liked all the food stalls etc.

JealousOfDDsOodie · 27/12/2021 21:44

I should have added- there's quite a few tickets being sold at a much discounted price on local FB selling sites due to people not being able to go because of Covid, worth keeping an eye out for those

thistimeofyear · 27/12/2021 21:56

Thanks everyone for all the info x

WeaverofWords · 27/12/2021 22:39

Thanks for suggestions, everyone! I’m not sure if we will do it, but great idea to look for cheaper tickets, many thanks for that suggestion.
