Ocd, eczema and clothes washing

I have anxiety, depression and ocd and eczema. I'm really struggling right now and don't know where to turn. It's mainly since I had a new washing machine, I'm struggling with ocd of how much washing powder to use for each load and how many extra rinses to do so clothes aren't soapy and I itch. I have piles of clothes washed several times due to paranoid of soap, which I'm scared to wear in case I itch. Can anyone help or advise, I'm at witts end.

I read on MN that you don’t need to use more than a tablespoon of washing powder unless your clothes are heavily soiled.

I’m past the DC grubby knees stage so I cut down my soap powder. They still smell fresh and come out clean and my box of soap powder last forever.

Worth a try?

Do you use a suitable laundry detergent for people with eczema?

My dc has bad eczema, I don't use powder, always use liquid. And use way less than recommended amount. I do only one extra rinse.

We use Surcare liquid, works well for eczema

I use persil non bio powder have done for years, but am aware they changed it over the years. Not sure if it's a true allergy or just my anxiety and ocd problems. I read somewhere that there is something in liquid that can cause allergies.

I use ecover non bio. No additional fragrance makes it feel like it's better for dc's skin.

Does the non fragranced ones make the laundry smell like damp or just water. Can anyone tell me how much powder they use in MLS for a half 5kg load and a full ten kg load and how many extra rinses

It doesn't smell damp, just doesn't smell of anything.

Try SURCARE liquid. It's good for Eczema. Only use the amount that's recommended on the bottle. Keep your skin moisturised all the time, with something like AVEENO, which doesn't contain perfumes, etc. Drink lots of water, to keep hydrated, eat oily fish like salmon, mackerel and tuna. See your GP for steroid creams when the Eczema is really bad.

My son (37 now) has terrible Eczema from time to time, had it from being a baby.
