26 weeks and boobs have shrank

Hi everyone, we had ivf and our little perfect blastocyst was transferred at 1:30, we traveled home and I went to bed. 3 hours later I woke up and my boobs had grown two sizes and we’re super sore.

They grew to an E cup, changed colour and became veiny, hard and sore. They even produced a tiny bit of milk at around 22 weeks. I’m now 26 weeks and they seem to have deflated, they are no longer sore and I have no milk. This concerns me. I’m not concerned about milk supply I’m concerned that my hormones aren’t correct and something may go wrong.

I’m hyper sensitive about any changes because we’ve just had a really distressing time being tested for dwarfism due to short Femurs. Thankfully the tests were normal but he’s still on the small side.

Has anyone else experienced the boob issue.

Hey - congrats on your pregnancy.

I had a twin ivf pregnancy after a tough old time so I totally get your anxieties. I had hideous boobs throughout the ivf process and the first few months of pregnancy. Then at about 5 months they just sort of went back to normal. I was quite busty anyway so they remained their normal size. I had no leaking or anything. A friend even commented on it at the time!

Nothing was wrong with my pregnancy. Where I did have an issue was post birth though. I didn't produce anything at all. Literally not a drop of collustrum even.

Midwife's totally unscientific theory was that the ivf and the previous losses and then the large twins just took too much out of me.

But it was all fine if not what I'd hoped for and I had 2 lovely healthy babies.
