Recommend a restaurant in Oxford with outside dining space, ie covid safe

I need to meet someone in Oxford tomorrow for lunch and would like to have lunch together but feel nervous about dining indoors in a crowded restaurant.
Any recommendations for somewhere with an outside dining space like a beer garden with gazebo.
TIA

I walked past Quod the other day and they had a big sign saying something about their terrace so you could try there. Otherwise some of the pubs, eg the Red Lion and the one opposite it that used to be the Gloucester Arms have obvious big outside areas

The Turf tavern has a lot of outdoor seating- it is a popular pub though and used to get crowded (not been since Covid).

I think a couple of the restaurants on the roof of the Westgate centre may have outdoor seating

The ashmolean museum restaurant has an outside rooftop terrace

Too late! But if there's still time, it may be best to work by location. Where/What sort of place are you looking for?

  • George Street has the chains, eg Ask and Zizzi - they usually have tables outside in the street now.
-Gloucester Green has quite a few eating places with outside tables. Just near there is the White Rabbit pub which does only pizza but really nice with a decent outdoor gazebo bit. Probably your best bet. -Otherwise walk down St John Street to Little Claremont Street which has plenty of places most of which will have a few tables outside.

Clarendon not Claremont. Bloody stupid autocorrect.

All restaurants are "Covid-safe", and they need our support.

Thanks for the suggestions above.
Does anyone know if the pizza express has an outside space?

Well no they’re not. You can catch covid literally anywhere. But then if you’ve been vaccinated chances are it won’t be a serious illness so for me personally I don’t worry about it and I would eat inside, it’s freezing!
