Neuro & Pregnancy…

Please bare with me it’s a long one…
I’m currently 37 weeks pregnant, symptoms started at 32 weeks..
Symptoms started as:
-Burning/tingling in my breast and back that moved into neck, head and face (now resolved)
-Bouts of confusion - more so episodes where I just could not get my head into gear, felt like there was a mental block and I wasn’t sure what I should be doing and when/how, struggled to keep up with TV programmes and generally feeling overwhelmed (slowly resolving)

  • Problems correctly locating and feeling sensations, I get aches/pains etc but they always feel asif they are radiating from a different area (on/off resolving)
  • Recently had vision changes started off as blurry and then the blurry vision stopped and now I have hazy/static vision? - optician and normal opmathologist says eyesight is fine! Waiting to see the neuro opmo.
I’ve had normal bloods (slightly low HB, B12 of 170 and low folate) Thyroid function is normal Had all the unusual autoimmune bloods which have come back normal Normal MRI head & MRI head with vascular checks Normal CT head Normal EEG

Im also absolutely shattered, I couldn’t honestly sleep hours and hours and then sleep again, I’m suffering with on and off tingling/burning of the nose, the crappy vision and pure panic as I’m due a baby at 39 weeks, I’ve got a 9 year old at home and I can barely function!

I wish I could be happy with the normal scan results, but being 37 weeks pregnant and feeling like a bit of a medical mystery is making me panic! My neuro team have tried to tell me is psychosomatic but I can’t swallow that explanation when I’m panicking about the crap vision! I’ve read a little around FND and some of the on/off of the symptoms fit but again I’m not 110% sure.
My neuro team are extremely relaxed about all the above whilst I’m progressively getting myself in more of a state…

Any ideas? :)
