A lazy Boxing Day

Chilling before a busy week ahead of visitors/visiting and after a stressful few weeks leading up to Christmas.

Had a lay in, DH cooked a lovely brunch and for the last few hours has been upstairs on his PlayStation playing his new game.

I'm laying on the sofa wrapped up cosily next to snoring DDog and one of the DCats.

Not really sure why I'm writing this but it feels so good to be lazy for once even though there is some tidying up and hoovering to do ready for our visitors in a few days time.

Happy Boxing Day Brew

Happy Boxing Day to you too! My DH is cooking and like you I'm snuggled up on the sofa with a cuppa before I venture outside to shut my chickens in before dark, DC happily engrossed in their new stuff... I prefer Boxing Day to Christmas day by a long shot! Enjoy OP! Wine

That sounds so lovely and well deserved. I’m working today so had a Boxing Day style relaxing day on the 23rd and it was fab! Enjoy!

Jesus that sounds like heaven. Ugh I am going to try and do that next year.

We all (6 adults, 4 kids under 7, 2 very different approaches to life) went for a dog walk this morning, back for lunch, I tried to take my kids out to the playground alone to get some us-time but my sister and her kid followed. ‘I thought it was an open invite?’ …… but no one invited her! She just eavesdropped our plans and then tagged along. Sounds so bitchy but I NEED time away!!!!! So now I’m in bed feeling guilty that DH is downstairs with all my family having to look after the kids. Wish he’d join me but he can’t leave our kids really as we’ve been left with our nephews for days and don’t enjoy it so can’t do that to others.

Rant!

Same here (although DH has gone to the football). Kids are having a pj day, happy playing with their new toys. I’m in my joggers.

It’s lovely not having to rush around seeing people or hosting me cooking a second big dinner.

Same here. Went for a long dog walk this morning. DH & 2 DCs are settled down to watch sport for the day, another is gaming and I'm alternating between reading and faffing around online. Lots of leftovers knocking around. Will pour a glass of wine soon.

Ours has been lovely too!

Slept in until around 10am, DH took the dog out and I had a shower and some toast. We watched a few films, had leftovers for lunch and then we both had a nap Grin

DH has popped round to his parents now and I'm home with the dog. Dinner will be random snacks from the cupboard.

It's been lovely - so relaxing and chilled out. I love Boxing Day!

Mine is lots of wine, takeaway and trashy TV and usual Sunday really lol but it’s all good :-)

We were out this morning for a Boxing Day fun session at the kids' stables. DH has gone to football and the rest of us are doing hugging at all. The kids are snuggled in their oodies on their phones, I'm drinking wine and watching crap on tv.

We all took a very long sofa nap. I'm now preparing dinner and opening one of the bottles of Baileys, partner is playing bowling with our toddler and our 5 month old is destroyed a paper hat from a cracker. I'm also mentally planning everything i need to do before the new year.

Us too.
Walked DDog in the rain
Lounging on the sofa watching films
May have had a brief power nap.
Buffet food for tea.

I love boxing day! Had a lay in, Cheese and wine for lunch, dc playing on their computers, fire lit, watching Harry Potter snuggled up on the sofa with a couple of cocktails!
