How to obtain a prescription for antibiotics, dental pain, boxing day?

I need anti biotics as a previous infection has flared up again. I know exactly the signs and symptoms, I'm an old warrior with all kinds of dental misery.

I'm in Scotland, pharmacies here are allowed to prescribe anti biotics but I don't know if they cover dental issues.

Any ideas? I have a vague idea of making up some other symptoms to access the anti biotics that I need.

All dentists will have emergency contact details on their answer phone, failing that 111 will help.

Why would you make up symptoms if you have symptoms?

There will be an emergency dentist open somewhere. Maybe try NHS dental information, they can probably do a prescription - my usual dentist has done me a prescription without an appointment in an emergency.

111 can prescribe antibiotics (in England, hopefully a Scotland is the same). They sent the prescription to a local chemist that was open.

Hope you can get some soon.

I recently had an abscess that the dental team on 111 we're happy to assess and prescribe for over the phone. They then sent a script to the nearest local pharmacy that was open. Whole thing took an hour all in.

Mine was a recurrence so think that made it easier.

Really hope you have similar in Scotland, and that you are on the mend soon
