Tucking dd into bed she whispered to me "thank you for all my presents". She's 11. We've been dancing around the big question since last year. I think we know where she stands now Smile

That’s so sweet. You tucking her in and her saying that. It means I love you. I’ve had a brilliant day. As well as thanks. ♥️

Pucarbuile · 25/12/2021 22:20

It did. She's an amazing kid ❤

That’s melted my heart OP. What a lovely girl you have there.

BurbageBrook · 25/12/2021 22:22

Bless her little heart ❤️

Wolfiefan · 25/12/2021 22:22

You’ve raised an amazing kid. ♥️

Pucarbuile · 25/12/2021 22:27

God love her, some days she seems to raise herself. She is fantastic though, funny, clever, kind, curious and downright lovely.

Bless her. There’s something though about ensuring that they feel able to keep being their amazing selves as they grow.

Pucarbuile · 25/12/2021 22:33

I know, it's hard sometimes, allowing them to be their sparky selves while guiding them through the bear traps. I'm slightly sozzled and very much feeling the Christmas spirit but she really is amazing (so is the 9yo, but needs more training Wink)

Haha. My eldest is 18 and bloody awesome. My youngest is about to be 12. She’s awesome too but doesn’t know how much. She needs confidence and to develop the ability to allow no one else’s judgement of her to matter. We’re working on it.
I can’t decide if I’m sozzled enough TBH. Wink

buckeejit · 25/12/2021 22:44

That's adorable

Pucarbuile · 25/12/2021 22:46

Sounds like you need more sozzling Wink almost 12 is hard. One of dd's friends has just turned 12 and it's been a challenge for her and her parents.

Yay for awesome 18yo Smile

Ah she’s ok. Thankfully? She’s too like her mum. Which means I generally get it as close to right as you can with one that age. She seems self assured and independent. But she’s quite awkward and kooky and unsure of herself. She’s also stubborn as hell. Who knows where she got that from! I would not be that age again for all the money in the world. Xmas Grin

Pucarbuile · 25/12/2021 23:17

Ha, yes, many worries that she's too like me. I'm encouraging all the bolshinesss we can handle. It's a hard age but so lovely too, so much possibility and hope. (Or drunken rosy specs)
