Meat is off!

We were having pork. Delivered on the 23rd with a use by of 27th stored in a working fridge and it stank to high heaven when I opened it. Refund requested. We are having a platter of sausages, meatballs, cold meats and bacon with our veggies, potatos, stuffing balls and pigs in blankets! Merry Christmas!

Oh no! Is it definitely off? Pork often smells horrible when it's first opened.

Air it out for a bit
I remember reading somewhere about soaking a pork before cooking it to draw out something (salt? I don't remember?!).
Anyway, stank when I got it, gave it a good soak, and was fine once drained off.

Worth a try

Yeah pork smells horrible when you first open it.. if the expiry date is still 2 days away I would still cook it and see how it turns out. It's probably fine.
