Anyone else having to isolate for Xmas?

So peeved off. Last Xmas we were locked down due to living in an area that went into tier 4.

Family all so excited for a day together with gifts and food. Then my sister asks us to covid test. We’re all triple jabbed so weren’t planning on testing being only 6 of us all together.

My hubby tested positive and now Xmas is effed up yet again.
This is so unfair.

Yes Christmas Day has changed for us too as DD tested positive last Sunday so elderly DF and a friend can't join us. It sucks doesn't it. Sad What makes it easier to bear, for me anyway, is that millions of others will be in the same situation and it kind of makes it feel like we're all in it together in a way. It's not the same but could you get together for Christmas belatedly when out of isolation?

We are having to make the best of it, my DBro tested positive. He lives with my dad, and at one point this year we all worried that Dad wouldn't make Christmas. He's getting better, so we hoped to make it a great day with them. Oh well, postponed, not cancelled. We'll be ready to do any shopping they need, etc.

Yes Sad similarly to you was not able to spend Christmas with my family last year and was so looking forward to seeing everyone. Was due to travel up on Wednesday but my 4 year old tested positive. He’s over the worst of it but I’ve had a positive lft today so just hoping I don’t feel too terrible tomorrow and that my 3 year old avoids it. Am also 21 weeks pregnant so that’s a worry too. Hope you manage to have a good Christmas anyway.

I’m so sorry that you’re all in the same boat.
We weren’t even planning on testing as we’re all triple jabbed but brother in law seeing family on their side in a few days and one is anti vax so asked us all to test.
Really needed a good time this Xmas. Things have been challenging with some other horrible health problems recently.
