We love a game. Usually play charades and the drawing one where you draw a head then fold the paper over and next person draws a body etc.

Has anyone got any favourites or suggestions for games to play tomorrow please?

The rizla game. You don't need rizlas but is just what we called it. Write a famous persons name on rizla/paper and stick it on someone else's head and they have to guess who they are by asking yes or no questions.

10 items in a stocking. 1 minute to memorize them. Then hide again and write down however many you can remember.

Whistle/hum a song and everyone has to guess. Can stick to Xmas songs/carols to make it christmasy.

Don't laugh. Tell really crappy cracker jokes and try to keep a straight face. 1st to laugh is out.

Oh yes! That’s a good one. Thanks.

I caught a clip of the Good Life with Margo and Tom passing the balloon under the legs with no hands. Might give that a go.

Oh yes I love the one where you draw a head, body, etc.

Scattegories is great. You choose five letters, everyone writes down those letters and then someone chooses five categories (e.g. animals, cities, presents, Harry potter characters or whatever you like). Everyone has to write down one thing for each letter for each category.

At the end people get one point for each item they managed to write down and an extra point if nobody else wrote the same item as they did. If you have mixed abilities do it in teams.

Ah yes! We used to call the memory game Kim (I think).

My in-laws play a game that they call Up Jenkins.

Two teams sit in a row facing each other. Team A pass a walnut from one team member to the other, behind their collective backs. Team B shout "Up Jenkins!" and each member of team A presents their two clenched fists. One at a time the members of team B guess who has the walnut.

It's a terrible game (IMO) but it's very popular within my DH's family.

We used to play wink murder but I can't remember how!

Scattegories is another good one for us lot. Thanks

Never heard of Up Jenkins but has a whiff of Squid Games about it.

A better game is The Hat Game.

Anyone that wants to play must write the name of 4 famous people, alive or dead, fictional or real on slips of paper, which go into a hat.
Two equally sized teams; in turn, each member selects a slip and 'performs' to their own team. Once the name is guessed correctly her team wins the paper and the same member selects another slip and performs again. At the end of a pre-agreed time (1 minute?) it is the turn of a member of the rival team. When all the slips have been used, teams count their 'winnings' and the team with the most are victorious.

Rounds get harder as the game goes on...

Round one - performer can say 3 complete sentences as clues.
Round two - performer can say three words.
Round three - only actions are allowed.
Round four - performer sits on her hands and can use only body movements and facial expressions.

It's complicated but hilarious!

That sounds encouragingly complicated. The explaining and agreeing on rules is a game in itself at my house.

Thank you. Salad and Hat seem similar - room to make our own rules.

I’ve got a white board. Maybe a drawing round added to the Salad and Hat.
