Locating a grave.

I've posted here for traffic. I have been trying to locate my paternal grandmother's grave for the last few months, but with no success. She died many years ago when I was 7. I can remember visiting her grave once with my late dad, about a year after she died, but it was so long ago and I was only 8 at the time,so I can't remember any details of where it was.

I've contacted (online) the council departments of cemeteries in the borough she lived as well as the borough she died in,plus surrounding boroughs, with no luck. I have all the relevant details, her full name, date of birth, date of death and hospital where she died, but nothing.

Has anyone else any experience in this matter? Where do I go from here?

Have you tried Findagrave and deceasedonline? I have my fingers crossed for you.

Apart from Findagrave etc. I would look for obituary or funeral notices in local papers? They might mention the burial? Or maybe local funeral directors incase they might have records? Or local churches? Was she buried alone or with other family members (husband?) If you can’t find her record you might find theirs and then she might be there? Good luck with your search.

Yes I've tried findagrave but not deceased online. I will have a look at that. I'm pretty sure she was buried alone,in a cemetery not attached to a church. Thanks for the tip.
