Work concerns

I have been covering my supervisor’s role for 2 weeks while she was on annual leave. I have been having to do my role as well as some team members refused to help. When my supervisor comes back there will be some things I have been unable to do due to time constraints and Christmas closure of the office. What is the best response if people ask why everything is not done? Some people at work are gaslighters and lazy and will try and blame me and it is physically impossible for me to get the jobs of 2 people done before we close. I have offered to help her on her return. I don’t want to worry about this over Christmas.

Make a list of the outstanding tasks, agree who will take responsibility for them. Not sure why anyone else needs to know?

Email the supervisor, list what's been done, what's not been done and frankly I would name and shame the people who refused to help, unless they were unable to help which isn't the same thing so phrase or appropriately. "John and Susan had too much work on, so they were unable to take on additional tasks. Karen and Paul have been diamonds and completed x, y and z".

Thank you both for your replies. I have explained the situation about the lack of help from colleagues and done the best I can while doing my role and her role. I also explained there was lack of time as the office is closed over Christmas too. I have offered to help on her return. I can relax and not worry over Christmas now.
