Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

I much prefer Christmas Eve, the build up, the excitement and the DC makes it all seem magical.
Christmas Day always feels a bit flat once the initial excitement is over.

I know what you mean in a way, but to be honest, once I've finished the Big Cook and everybody has a big plate of Christmas dinner in front of them, I breathe a sigh of relief and start to relax. Our house rules are that someone else does the pudding, and everybody else mucks in with all the washing up afterwards, while I put my feet up for the rest of the day. It's bliss. I've done my bit, and now I can just chill or play board games until the evening, when I instruct someone to make me a turkey sandwich.

Christmas Eve. But it’s my sons bday as well so it’s even nicer. My husband always does the cooking and goes over board on Xmas day. Really lovely but he won’t let anyone help so spend most of Christmas Day on my own.

Christmas Eve, but it’s when the main meal and presents happen here. The whole day you build up to it and then the evening is just lovely. I do enjoy waking up late on Christmas morning and the silence and quiet there is… so peaceful until about 1/2pm, perfect for a walk.

Tbh Boxing Day is my favourite - no huge meal to make so it's much more chilled. Christmas Eve is quite prep intensive and I try to get on top of last minute cleaning and laundry and Christmas Day is constant activity. I do like the evening though, when it's quiet and the washing up has been done.

Christmas eve & Christmas day (Xmas is my birthday) I love the big up and the day itself. I find it all so exciting and magical, even in my 30s.
