Ooh fuck I'm hungover

Realised yesterday that I need to be on top form on Christmas Day as we're cooking, so suggested to DH last night that we have a couple of beautiful wee cocktails.

It escalated from there and we ended up finishing a bottle of port and watching only fools and horses til 3am.

Oh dear. Would anyone like to come iron my tablecloth and napkins, Hoover my house, and bring me a Big Mac meal?

I'm.the same..home.made cosmopolitans.only had three but they were enormous and I'm.so glad we ran out of limes to make more !

I miss the old days when I could lie on the sofa and watch some epic like Ben Hur and nap intermittently. Now I have to adult like a bastard.

Oh god! I can't bare the thought of having to cook/host/drink! Hosting hungover is the worst thing ever.

Actually no, the worst thing ever is getting a 6 hour tattoo hungover, which I very stupidly did as a much younger person.

When the artist had her lunch break I went to the toilet and puked. What an idiot.

Oh this has been me and dh all day today! Friends round last night, didn’t even end late but drank far more than intended and it’s been a struggle today
Hosting for 16 tomorrow so we’ve had to grit our teeth and get stuck in but it’s been sloooooow and we still have so much to do but just want to lie down!
Sent the kids out on a walk to get wrapping paper and they stopped to feed the ducks on the way back so at least they’ve had some fresh air today, they’ve been really helpful at home too.
But still. Stupid idea of dhs to invite our friends over
